Farewell to community couple

Wellsford seargent Geoff Medland was farewelled last week by police staff and the Rodney Blue Light committee. Geoff is looking forward to his new position as Operations Planning Sergeant in Auckland Central.

North Rodney Blue Light community youth co-ordinator Shane Gould (pictured right) presented Geoff and his wife Winnie with a plaque to thank them for their commitment and support over the past three-and-a-half years. Winnie is ex-police and has also been a valuable member of the Blue Light committee. 

Sergeant Mark Ovington from Orewa replaces Geoff as Officer in Charge at Wellsford.
