New walk track skirts golf course

From the distant reaches of Paul’s Track in the Mangawhai Community Park to Thelma Road North, walkers can stroll along below the golf course, go over a couple of stiles, then cross a boardwalk and little bridge to Thelma Road.

This track is available thanks to the generous co-operation of the Mangawhai Golf Club – moving the track up slope from the wetland within which the paper road currently resides.

The Trackies, in their usual Friday morning sartorial splendour, and lured on by the thought of Jenny’s morning tea, have battled their way through deep logging debris, blackberry, gorse, pampas, swamps, and even wet grass to bring you this outstanding walking experience.

“The pleasure is all ours,” they say, “so please use it!”
