Walking Weekend bookings open with a rush

 

The booking site for the 20th Annual Mangawhai Walking Weekend has opened this month with a rush of people keen to lock in their favourite walk.

Organisers are receiving great feedback from participants – old and new – commenting on the terrific range of events being offered – over 30 again this year. Planners have been especially kind to those of us who are not as spritely as we were once.

A big hint to all Focus readers; if you have been thinking about joining one of the following, let us suggest you get in now and make your bookings – we would hate for you to miss out. Walks selling out fastest at the moment are:

 Art ’n Garden Walk, NEW GRADE 1 - This walk is created especially to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Stroll through five outstanding venues, admire the very different art and sculpture with knowledgeable guides. 

 Bald Rock and Kauri Bush Walk, GRADE 3 - From the road Bald Rock looks like a huge sphere beckoning passing walkers. Take the two kilometre climb up this distinctive outcrop to experience 360 degree panoramic views from the Kaipara Harbour to Mangawhai.
