Getting to know each other at whanau fun nightThere were loads of families at the Tomarata School Whanau Fun Night on Thursday February 24. All the teachers were there and principal Mrs Neels took some time out of her busy day to come along. We had delicious food, a wood fired pizza, nice chilling juices and ripe plums, and a barbeque the families could use. We set up under the beautiful magnolia tree in the Tomarata school grounds and were swimming in the school pool, which was very refreshing, everyone enjoyed it. We had many games. The tug of war was really challenging and a lot of people were getting dragged on the ground. Games were provided by Patricia Green from Harbour Sport. We also sold plums and chutney made by our school. Lucky people won quick fire raffles too. It was cool how Mrs Neels organised it so all the families came together. Whanau fun night was really fun for all families to start the year.
