Solid foundation for new brigade building

 

Site preparation underway for the new Mangawhai Fire Brigade building on Molesworth Drive.

Thanks to support from a generous community, fundraisers have reached their goal of $150,000 that Fire and Emergency NZ have requested the Mangawhai Volunteer Fire Brigade contribute towards their new station.

As well as donations from businesses, groups and individuals within the Mangawhai community, some special people have run some special money-raising events including a garage sale, jazz night, art auction, and sponsor-a-brick wall. Many have also donated from their own personal fundraising efforts and smaller initiatives like sausage sizzles, bumper stickers, t-shirts and through the Givealittle page.
