Give a thought to ChristmasA group of Mangawhai Museum volunteers have dedicated their time and talents to creating a variety of handmade Christmas items to support the Bows and Bells Museum Fundraiser year after year, and this year they have again come up trumps with another fine range of festive nic naks.
“From October 20 our 'Handmade in Mangawhai' Christmas decorations and tableware will hit the shelves at Mangawhai Museum,” announces museum manager Emma Gray. “These colourful and charming items have been really popular in the past, and if you want the first pick, it will pay to be in quick. By the time Christmas comes around, there will be almost nothing left!” In addition to the Christmas shop the Museum is also selling tickets for the chance to win one of eight raffles in the weeks leading up to the annual Bows and Bells event to be held on December 8 & 9. Tickets for the first raffle will be available from Labour Weekend when the Book Fair is also being held. If you want to know what you can win in each week's raffle, visit the Museum Facebook page or website. All proceeds are put towards supporting the museum. |
