First Year Club Champ Singles
Two bowlers who have recently joined bowls entered the clubs First Year Singles on Saturday March 12. Don McDowell and Bruce Taylor had fun playing each other and gained some good experience, with Bruce eventually beating Don. Both bowlers enjoyed the day. Well done guys.

Junior Club Champ Singles
March 26-27 saw 19 junior bowlers enter the 2015/16 Junior Club Champ Singles.

The weather over the two days was great and the greens played well. There were some very good bowls played in the tournament and the last four – Ross Hollingsworth, Murray Heaton, Bruce Hathaway and Brian Wright – played consistent bowls throughout.

The final was between Murray Heaton and Ross Hollingsworth. Earlier in the tournament Ross had taken a life off Murray with some good bowling. For over half the game it was pretty even, then over the concluding stages Murray edged ahead to win.

Congratulations to the finalists and well done to all those juniors who played.
