The name Coast Chiropractic may not be familiar immediately, but chances are it’s a service you are going to need sooner rather than later.

The newly-formed business is a double-deal, with chiropractor Robyn King and massage therapist Stacey McCormick operating out of a chalet in Devon Street, Mangawhai.

A recent arrival to Mangawhai, Robyn is now re-establishing herself into the workforce after settling her toddler into daycare.

Following her qualification in the UK, Robyn has established a substantial practice in Auckland since 2010 and is well versed in the latest treatment methods for a wide variety of ailments.

Robyn is experienced with musculoskeletal conditions, spinal adjustments and manipulation and has a treatment bench with a specialised Flexion-Distraction function. This is a chiropractic technique used to treat many conditions of the lower spine and lumbar area. It is a non-surgical technique aimed at increasing spinal motion and resolving disc bulges and the types of injuries to which builders and roofers are prone.

“My partner is a builder so I know that through the everyday routine of their jobs they need adjustments on a regular basis,” she says.

The services complement each other. Stacey McCormick has been providing a therapeutic massage service in Mangawhai for over a year. In the past she has also worked with the Warriors rugby league team so customers with sporting or severe work injuries can be assured of deep tissue rehab and remedial work from an experienced clinician.

Stacey also works in concert with gyms and osteopaths to ensure continuity of service in treating problems whether work related or the general maintenance we all need from time to time.
