Bream Bay Village - a genuinely unique retirement lifestyleThat's the overwhelming feeling you get from the moment you drive through the gates at the entrance of the new Village, set in amongst the peaceful green countryside of rural Marsden Point.
Only 90 minutes from Auckland, with breathtaking views of Mt Manaia, Bream Bay Village is set to be the retirement destination of anyone looking to escape the rush of Auckland. If embracing a semi-rural lifestyle, close to idyllic white sand beaches, boat ramps and markets is your idea of a great retirement, then you need to take a trip to Bream Bay Village. Construction of the second stage of the Village is well underway, but it is the new display home that really impresses. The first residents have already moved in. "We just want to get people settled into their new homes as soon as we can," says owner Paul Gray. And what a delight these new homes are. From the moment you step over the "Hello" mat at the front door, you're struck by the light and spaciousness of the villas. Each floor plan has been carefully thought out to maximise the space and light available. "One of the great things about being out of Auckland," Paul says "is the fact that we've got plenty of ground to accommodate our villas, so no-one feels as if they're living on top of anyone else." The villas have a bright and airy feel thanks to open plan kitchen/dining/living. Sleek kitchen design, complete with stone benchtops and Fisher & Paykel stainless appliances give the kitchens a distinct European feel. Top quality materials have been used throughout and attention to detail makes you feel as if you're walking into a substantial, quality home. Villas come with a single garage with internal access, plus additional parking on your own private driveway. North facing outdoor living flows seamlessly from the villa and then on into your own private, landscaped garden. The villas each have two bedrooms and two bathrooms – one a spacious ensuite. If you're looking for a three bedroom option, Paul says, "Pick up the phone and talk to us. We can make it happen." Up-to-the-minute construction, which features bagged brick and Linea weatherboard, guarantees warm, dry homes. Windows are double glazed. "We were always adamant that we wanted a quality build for a quality site," adds Paul. He says there has been a lot of interest from local people, but he's now seeing an uptick in interest from people outside the local area who can see the value of selling their home in Northern Auckland, putting money in the bank and living in a quieter, semi-rural area. "We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved here at Bream Bay," says Paul. "There's already a feeling of community and we believe that's only going to grow over time."
