Don't miss two day pop-up art show

 

Mangawhai Artists Inc will run a pop-up gallery in the heart of the Mangawhai Heads shopping centre on January 4-5.

Tucked away behind the Mangawhai Medical Centre in Fagan Place, the attractive hall is turned into a studio for artists every Monday morning and for two days only each January, is transformed into a bright light-filled exhibition space. 

The exhibiting artists meet every Monday morning to make art, be creative, share their knowledge, offer friendship and enjoy a cup of tea. 

Expect to be surprised and impressed – these artists are bold in the range and styles of their art work, experimenting with both traditional and modern techniques. There will be beautifully rendered landscapes, zany flowers, portraits, scenes of Mangawhai and so much more.

“We have been meeting as artists for a long time and many of our group were new to Mangawhai and to art when they first came along,” says organiser Ann Howard. “We are always thrilled to welcome newcomers to our Monday mornings and invite people to drop in for a look and to meet us – we love encouraging people to join us and become artists in the making.”
