Building company shows community spiritA combination of expertise and goodwill is again smiling on the Mangawhai Activity Zone (MAZ) in its fundraising quest to move this unique family entertainment complex closer to completion.
Local building company MyPad are currently constructing a three bedroom home, which will be auctioned in the new year, with all profits donated to MAZ. An agreement between the company and its many suppliers and sub-contractors will see donations of time and material costs stripped to benefit a project with widespread community appeal and support. The home itself has been described as a “dream bach” with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, covered outdoor living area and a boatshed and will be fully landscaped. “It is energy efficient, eco-friendly, accesable and adaptable to family needs at all stages so will have wide appeal.” says company spokesperson Sarah Lay. MyPad are earning a strong reputation within Mangawhai for their designs which are simple, functional and affordable. The home is also appraised to target a 7 HomeStar rating which covers a number of healthy and environmentally friendly measures, and will hold Lifemark certification. January open days will be well publicised followed by a fun family day and on-site auction with the date yet to be confirmed. You can visit the MyPad website at www.mypad.net.nz. |
