Tavern turns it on over Labour Weekend

Support a quartet of local college guys on Saturday night at the Tavern (Oct 24) as they work their way up the Kiwi music ladder.

Foursome Monkey Assassins, whose musical ability belies their years, have already been successful performers finishing third in the Smokefree Rockquest regional comps as well as playing a number of local gigs with a widening repertoire of music. Kick-off 8.30pm.

Then, head into summer with the Landslide Band (pictured). A tribute to one of the greatest ever bands is about to rock the Mangawhai Tavern, Labour Weekend Sunday, 8.30pm.

Landslide, a five-piece band based in the greater Auckland area, are a highly professional live act delivering a top quality musical experience celebrating the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Andrea Clarke (lead vocals, percussion), Tanya Hiskins (keyboards, backing vocals), Lee Cooper (bass, backing vocals), Dylan Storey (guitar, lead & backing vocals), and Cole Goodley (drums) have toured the country playing at top clubs, major corporate events and festivals to sold out shows.

The group will deliver the full Fleetwood Mac tribute show with lighting and sound system incorporating liberal use of four-part harmonies to bring out the best in their catalogue of amazing classic songs.
