Seniors feel young at heartTe Whai Community Trust hosted a luncheon at the Mangawhai Museum for around 20 senior citizens. The September 26 event saw guests entertained by Just Uked Mangawhai, the local ukelele group led by Jane Yates.
The aim of the luncheon was to bring together a special group of the community to make connections and have some fun. Good company, delicious food (catered by the Museum Cafe) and an impromptu sing-a-long made for an enjoyable occasion. The Trust hopes to hold another event before Christmas. Te Whai Community Trust Mangawhai was established in 2015 to meet the rapidly growing need for available services within the region, directing people with specific needs to the services required. The Trust is based in the Old School House in the Pioneer Village at the Museum and can be contacted on 021 0247 8003. |
