Better cell coverage
Help is at hand for Kiwis wanting to keep an eye on work from the bach this summer. Vodafone has increased capacity, installed new cell sites and is rolling out COWs (cell sites on wheels) to New Zealand’s most popular holiday destinations – including Mangawhai – so there’s no need to cut short your Christmas break to get back to the office.
With high demand expected in popular holiday hotspots, Vodafone has readied its network ahead of the crowds to cope with an increasingly mobile workforce that wants to keep an eye on business from the bach.
Over 40 cell sites across the country have been augmented to improve capacity and speed including Brynderwyn and Marsden Point.

Are you ready to go digital?
Television in Northland is going digital in 12 months which means everyone in the region who wants to watch TV after December 1, 2013, will need Freeview or SKY.
Over eight out of 10 homes in the Northland have already made the move to digital TV and are enjoying better pictures and more channels. You don’t need a new TV as any set can go digital with the right set-top box or TV with Freeview built-in together with a UHF aerial or a satellite set-top box and satellite dish.
If you want to continue to receive and record television programmes using your current DVD or video recorder it will also need to go digital.
