Pub Charity sponsors Cliff Top Walk brochure
ATTRACTIONS: Tineke Hosking checks out the latest Cliff Top Walk brochure at the info centre. A reprint of the Mangawhai Cliff Top Walk brochure has arrived at the Mangawhai Information Centre thanks to the sponsorship and generosity of Pub Charity. “We are very appreciative of the support that Pub Charity has given to ensure that there is a continuation of these brochures available,” says info centre spokesperson Gordon Hosking. “Mangawhai's Cliff Top Walk is renowned as one of the best coastal walks in New Zealand. It’s high quality makes it a top attraction in the area and people come from all over the world to walk the famous track.” The track must be walked at low tide and dogs are not permitted. It is clearly signposted and is suitable for people with moderate fitness. Should you wish to walk the Cliff Top Walk with a guide, then you may consider waiting for the next Mangawhai Walking Weekend held in April. In recent years, Mangawhai has seen the development of numerous walks in the surrounding area and more are planned for 2013. Information for all local walks is available at the information centre. If you are interested in becoming part of the volunteer team that cuts new tracks and maintains the present ones, contact Mike 431 5443 or Gordon 431 5779. Your involvement will ensure tracks continue to be available for everyone to enjoy.
