Changes for Wild Thyme
Despite Waipu’s placid exterior there are always changes happening there. Among the new faces is that of Tanja McKeown (pictured), new proprietor of Wild Thyme, formerly Garden Gate. Though she has spent a total of 15 years in and around Waipu, Tanja has now stepped out of the shadows and there are some changes happening within the shop. The accent is still on healthy and wholesome fresh fruits and food but includes an extensive array of delicatessen lines as well from specialty meats, exotic herbs, spices and condiments, organic and gluten-free lines, local award-winning Rush coffee and gift baskets to order. A little nook is home to kitchen things such as coasters, cutting boards, bubbly goblets and decorative knick-knacks.This could well be your one-stop shop for Christmas stocking-fillers. In the plan is a counter delivering smoothies, juices and Fair Trade coffee-to-go. You could have a good time at Wild Thyme. |
