Estuary Café open for business
Dale and David – the same names appear over the door at the Waipu Golf Club’s Links Café. As if they didn’t have enough to do, Dale sees it as “seizing an opportunity” and the duo have been working long hours to refurbish the newly named Estuary Café at the Bream Bay Club on Princes St, Ruakaka. Takeaways are already open and as the dining area takes shape the same traditional Kiwi fare will be available as at the golf club. Both places will be open seven days but family members have also been enlisted to help staff the new venture. As well as an expansive dining area which is ideal for functions, there is access to an alfresco tree-lined spot right next to the estuary for outdoor dining or weddings. David, being a marriage celebrant, will be promoting this little-known service and venue. Running the two eateries means that suppliers will pass on a daily basis so patrons can be assured of the freshest of food whether their order be sandwiches, takeaways or a seafood steak. And take their advert in for a free coffee. |
