Museum dream for movie buff
Waipu teenager Tylor Keith (right) has had bit parts in Kiwi films Hugh & Heke, Fallacy, and A Glorious Morning but though his interest in movies remains he would prefer a producing or directing role in the future. In the meantime his interest is in establishing a movie memorabilia museum behind the Eye Spy shop in the old Waipu Fire Station which is open daily. Tylor’s items of interest include the Pulp Sport robot, artifacts from the Cleopatra 2525 sci-fi series, Hobbit feet, a wearable arts costume, the authentic mirror from Mirror Mirror, a sketch of Oprah Winfrey following her appearance on The Simpsons, costumes from the Star Trek parody Radiradirah, plus the real-life 1982 yellow Ford Laser from the movie Two little Boys. This is fairly recent stuff at the moment but drop in and see what weird and wonderful items Tylor is working hard sourcing from the movie world and maybe you can assist by donating some special movie memorabilia of your own. |
