Parasols to lighten and brighten

EYE-Editorial-Nov
FUN SHADE: The parasol is practical, functional, and fashionable

Back in the 1920s beautiful Asian umbrellas became fashionable in Western societies as sunshades to protect the skin of delicate ladies.
Back in 2007, Pamela (Binky) Collier and her daughters Loulou and Clare decided the time of the parasol was back as a way of sun protection that was both fun and functional.
After carefully sourcing their product, the girls at Parasoul Ltd began styling a fun range of plain, spotted and striped designs for the New Zealand market.
Not just used at the beach, outdoor events and music festivals as a summer umbrella, the popularity of the parasol as a wedding accessory has been an added bonus for the company.
Many weddings are held outdoors in gardens or on the beach and the last thing a bride wants is sunburn on her big day! Parasols are also a fun prop, and photographers love the way a parasol frames faces and filters light in wedding shots.
Parasoul Ltd can provide styles and colours to match the theme of any wedding. The fabrics used are handmade paper, waxed cotton, or beautiful Thai silk. The parasols can also be customised with words or initials for events or corporate promotions.
Many weddings are held at island resorts and brides have loved the fact that most of the styles are waterproof as well as being sunshades, providing all-weather cover!
