Parents: Learn to manage your time

Robyn Pearce ZontaWhat do you do with your spare time? Is it spare time or is it wasted time?

There are lots of adages relating to time: Time waits for no man; All time not spent sleeping is wasted; Time is what we want most, but what we use worst; If you want something done, ask a busy person – which infers they are organised where you are not.

Enter Robyn Pearce, known as the Time Queen. For 22 years author and speaker Robyn has been sharing her experiences and knowledge about time management and productivity with countless clients and readers around the world as a keynote speaker, educator, coach and writer of eight books and many hundreds of articles. She often appears as a subject specialist on television and radio.

This is not about psychology or an American motivational sermon – Kiwi mum Robyn learnt her subject the hard way. Through the years of being a librarian, a farmers wife, raising six kids (including an intellectually handicapped foster son), single parenthood and then a highly successful real estate career, time management was her biggest challenge.

The good news is – she won, turning her greatest weakness into a major strength and now helps others find more time. Not necessarily to be a slave of time but to use it wisely and well. Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely. This can apply to young and old, men and women.

Robyn is a very dynamic and accomplished international speaker it’s great that she has agreed to come to talk to our community. Her visit will be sponsord by the Mangawhai Zonta Club.
