Locals line up for vaccinationWhen the Covid-19 vaccination team arrived in Mangawhai on September 16 and 17, locals took full advantage of having their shots within the neighbourhood, rolling up their sleeves and queuing at St John Ambulance station before the 10am start, with the line continuing until closing at 3pm. Declared by the Government to be the best way to fight the virus, to date 2,978,105 Kiwis nationwide have had their first Covid jab with 1,529,839 fully vaccinated with their second shot. A small group of protestors also showed up to make their voices heard about their opposition to the Covid vaccine rollout. - REPORTING/JULIA WADE |
