Hands up those who have dined at Rob and Wendy Klink’s Cow Shed Restaurant at Mangawhai? Not enough! Now is the time to put it on your ‘to do’ list.

Hands up all those who have eaten at the Cow Shed Pop-up Cafe? Should be nobody, because it doesn’t open until Boxing Day – and just for a month as daughter of the family Amy and chef husband Sam fly over from Melbourne to wow diners with some sweet and funky dishes to compliment the fabulous array of mains already on the menu.

The Cow Shed Restaurant and Farm Shop will serve mouthwatering evening meals, the pop-up cafe will add breakfasts, brunches or platters to the unique country dining experience and atmosphere that is unlikely to be found within many, many miles of Mangawhai.

Dan Klink and wife Ange run the highly-rated Mangawhai Meat Shop so diners can be assured of prime, tender products. And of course that rural family know-how will make your cowshed visit an experience rather than just a meal.

Farm fresh, gluten free and vegetarian options are available if required, and BYO alcohol means you’ll enjoy a meal to remember in an atmosphere that you’ll probably never forget.
