Music at Mangawhai TavernFeelers tour remastered debut album
The Feelers debut album Supersystem can only be described as a stone cold Kiwi classic. Unleashed in August ’98, it rushed to the prized number one spot a week later. It stuck around in the Top 10 for 28 weeks, sold over 83,000 copies and went 5 times platinum. Album of the year in 1999, Supersystem was remastered and reissued in October and sounds bigger and better than before. On CD and digital formats it will also come out on double LP vinyl for the first time “We’d wanted to do the reissue for a little while now,” says frontman James Reid. “As it’s now 20 years on from the original demos, it felt like it was the right time. I love the concept of Supersystem being on vinyl as well. I’m stoked about that.” n The Feelers, Mangawhai Tavern, Wed Dec 30. Tickets from Ticketmaster.
