Tennis club upgrades ready for summer fun

Summer is coming and you can often hear the thwock of tennis balls down at the Mangawhai Tennis Club courts at the Domain.

There are six courts in play with new nets thanks to a grant from the Opportunity Factory – and new lights thanks to the hard work and support of the community.

The ladies groups have played nearly every Monday and Wednesday of winter, but are looking forward to the better summer weather.

Thursday Night Round Robin has had a few rain offs, but is looking forward to better weather.

Kids and parents – junior coaching is starting soon!

If you are thinking of joining there is an Early Bird special of $25 off if you pay by the November 5. Otherwise you can play casual tennis by going to the GAS station and getting a key for $10 ($20 after November 5).
