Wider range for dental servicesThe steady population growth in Bream Bay is also bringing with it some expansion in the business sector.
Dr Seena Gopi recently bought the Gentle Dental practice at the Ruakaka shopping centre from Dr Sim Sood and is currently making alterations to accommodate more customers and offer a greater range of services. These include gaining a new hygienist and working all five days. Dr Seena is happily married to Mal and they love being around their 4-year-old son, Ryan. Dr Seena is keen to embrace new technology, has over 10 years experience, has keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and is also trained in adults orthodontics (Invisalign). Though she still commutes from the North Shore to work three days a week, staffing has increased with a full-time dentist Dr Elayna Huang joining the team. Dr Huang graduated from Otago University. She enjoys every aspect of general dentistry and has keen interest in dentures and surgical dentistry. Mother of two and experienced hygienist Louisa Antonio is the third new member of the team. Louisa starts from March 1 and works alternate Tuesdays. The lovely support staff that customers know well Deb, Kathleen and Lydia will remain a part of an experienced and dedicated team. The premises is currently being remodelled to handle changes of additional staff but the longer hours and greater range of services from an experienced and dedicated team will, they are sure, more than compensate for a little interruption. For those on the southern side of town, Dr Seena will be opening a similar service in Warkworth in April. n For any dental queries, call (09) 432 8139 or email dentistruakaka@outlook.com. New hours Ruakaka, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. TEETH TEAM: Gentle Dental Ruakaka are, from left, Lydia, Elayna, Seena, Kathleen, and Deb. |
