Art n Tartan: What you need to knowWhen is the deadline for entries? How much tartan do I need? What is the date for pre-judging?
All these questions and more will be answered by the Art n Tartan team at an ‘Expressions of Interest’ meeting held to welcome all those artists, designers, models and helpers who wish to be involved in the iconic 2016 Waipu Museum Art n Tartan Awards. Visitors will be able to meet and talk with new artistic director Alister Williams who is well known in the community for his roles as the Reverend Norman McLeod in the Waipu Pageant and the Lachie McLean production of James McNeish's The Rocking Cave. He has many years experience both as actor and director and teacher. Also on hand will be stage manager Neil Troost to answer any questions regarding the layout of the show, the new dressing room manager and other members of the team. There will also be a chance to view local videographer Peter Grant’s impressive DVD of the 2015 performance and browse through Peter Davies’ wonderful photobook. Previous entrants will also be there to give help and advice. Whether you intend entering a fabulous design, wish to be a model, help on stage or behind the scenes, the Art n Tartan team would love to meet you and answer all your questions. There will be refreshments and everyone is welcome. What, when and where: n Art n Tartan Expressions of Interest meeting, Celtic Barn, Waipu, at 7pm Wednesday |
