MAZ sees summer crowds

 

Reports say there have been more visitors to Mangawhai this summer than ever before, despite the fickle weather.

Nowhere is this more evident than the Mangawhai Activity Zone. Over the past year several projects within the park have been completed giving multiple activity options for kids of all ages including tennis, walks, bike riding, basketball, and skateboarding.

Recent work on footpaths and landscaping have also given the area a safer feel and last week the centre was a hive of industry with Mums and Dads enjoying a leisurely coffee while their youngsters played on swings and roundabouts, the flying fox or took a loop or two around the cycle tracks.

The value of this facility cannot be measured and will be expanded further towards completion by proceeds from a new house auction to take place early next month.
