Awards scoop for Stolwerk family

 

Over 50 members from 11 surf clubs were recognised at the annual Toyota Financial Services Surf Life Saving Northern Region (SLSNR) Awards of Excellence held Saturday July 14 at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland. 

Thirty-six awards covering the lifesaving, surf sport and volunteer branches of surf lifesaving for clubs between Raglan up the West Coast to Cape Reinga, and down the East Coast to the Auckland City beaches were presented and several Waipu Cove club members were among the recipients.

Jake McClure made the finals of the U19 Lifeguard of the Year. Emily Stolwerk won Rookie of the Year, Angela Stolwerk received a Service Award, Rick Stolwerk received a Distinguished Service Award.
