Volunteers work hard on harbour1. Mangrove seedling removal along Insley St was attacked by a fine body of men (and men-esses) many of whom commented on how good it was to see a big clear bay when the tide came in. 2. Maintenance planting at the sandspit. Thanks to those who put some of their Saturday time aside to plant heaps of spinifex and pingao. 3. Gerry Pilmer (reflector jacket) and Ross Parkes reflect on a job well done. 4. The dredge has just returned with a facelift after a clean-up and service in Whangarei with plenty of work ahead of it in maintaining the harbour. - PHOTOS / Lynne Prictor |
