Tricky conditions for Men’s 4-Bowl Pairs

The Mangawhai Mens Open 4-Bowl Pairs Tournament was held on November 5 in sunny weather but with the wind gusting occasionally.

With the greens running at a slick 18-plus it made for tricky bowling.

Out of the 24 teams that entered those teams that handled the conditions were:

A Green: 1 Eddy Reitsma & Maurice Hulm (Comp), 2 Ross Hollingsworth & Bruce Hathaway (Mangawhai), 3 Len Lawrence & Glenn Jones (Mangawhai), 4 Pedro Manuell & Wiki Waru (Leigh); Lucky dip - Allen Stebben & Norm Mckenzie (Mangawhai).

B Green: 1 Murray Heaton & Ian Toddun (Mangawhai), 2 Dennis Young & Ted Sloan (Otp), 3 Neil Mcmaster & John Thompson (Otp), 4 Jim Gill & Ron Sadgrove (Wellsford); Lucky dip - Colin Neal & Malcolm Davey (Mangawhai).
