Judges impressed with showhome entryExcellence in work manship, creativity and innovation by Mangawhai company Cavern Homes was recognised with a gold Gib Show Home award at the Northland and Auckland Registered Master Builders 2015 House Of The Year awards held last week.
“Building is a package deal,” says director Ken Dugdale who shares the running of the company with his wife Karen, an interior designer. “A good relationship with the customer is paramount from day one, then workmanship and overall quality, inside and out, have to be worked into the mix together with budget and timeframe to achieve satisfaction from all parties. It’s just great to have the recognition in the important areas.” The Cavern Homes showhome in Estuary Drive, Mangawhai, was submitted as the entry and the judges were impressed by the project right from the design to overall finish. With their own tightknit and experienced group of contractors and sub-contractors this award signifies a standard the company has adopted and seeks to maintain through every building project. Though operating under the Cavern Homes banner in Mangawhai for just a couple of years, the company boasts over 70 years experience in the trade so, given the current growth in Mangawhai, customers can feel confident of a finished product that meets their total satisfaction. “This award reflects on the entire company and it’s good for Mangawhai too,” says Ken.
