Auto mania hits townWandering the rows of modern and classic autos at the Mangawhai Car & Bike Show on Easter Sunday, it wasn’t hard to find an oddity or two – some literally head and shoulders above the rest. I had to ask: “Why is it the tallest guy always owns the smallest car?”
But it seems I’m not the first to pose that question to lofty Dargaville mini fanatic Graeme Powdrell, who takes it all in his long stride. Since falling in love with the English marque many years ago he’s owned plenty of them and has completed the famed Pork Pie Charity Run a number of times – that’s basically Kaitaia to Invercargill in five days. Pictured with his 1968 MkII Mini Cooper S, Graeme says the little beast will always stay in the family. Check out more of the Easter Hop here! |
