Facial hair bothering you?

 

I've been working in the beauty therapy industry for over 20 years now and as an experienced electrologist I still get that buzz when we beat the hair and it stops growing back! It is a real confidence booster, and if you have struggled with facial hair growth you will know exactly what I'm talking about. 

It is very common to have unwanted facial hair and there are many different ways to remove it – some are permanent, others retard it, meaning it comes back at a slower rate. Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) are good for larger areas if the hair is dark in colour, repeat treatments are often needed. Electrolysis is still the only medically proven method for permanent hair removal. In my opinion I prefer to treat hormonal stubborn facial hair with electrolysis and then either combine waxing or alkaline hair removal for the finer fluff. Waxing with a hair retardant cream used as after care will not increase the growth and can suit someone who doesn't mind doing it once a month. 

However my new favourite is the DMK alkaline treatment. Alkaline dissolves the hair and any dead skin cells, it also goes into the hair follicle retarding the growth. We do a vitamin skin treatment after the alkaline is removed leaving your skin smooth and well nourished.
