Last push needed for fire brigade building contribution

 

Mangawhai Fire Brigade’s fundraising committee has been informed by Fire and Emergency New Zealand that the building of the new Mangawhai station should be starting sometime in March all going to plan.

The contribution of $150,000 which Fire and Emergency New Zealand have advised will be the Mangawhai Volunteer Fire Brigade’s share towards the extensions to the building and future proofing is still shy of it’s goal – to date they have raised over 85 per cent of the amount needed, a tremendous effort by the community.

The external ‘Fire’ Brick wall will be a very notable component of the finished project with the aim of making an eye-catching and significant statement reflecting the community support for the fundraising initiative.

Any business, individual or organisation may buy a ‘Fire’ Brick to support this fundraiser. All funds raised will go directly to the new station.
