Thanks for the great responseEach time we tell you about a great walk you might be interested in we get a fantastic response from Focus readers. Thank you again.
Apart from all of the walking and on-water activities organisers have planned for the March 28-31 Mangawhai Walking Weekend, those looking to be entertained have not been forgotten. Have you tried the Troubadour Trail? This event takes place on Friday March 29 in the afternoon and it gives a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with a range of fantastic entertainers. We are keeping mum as to who will be appearing this year and we know you won’t be disappointed with any of the carefully selected acts. This is a great chance to share your love of the Mangawhai outdoors with your friends, children, or maybe grandchildren, as an after school treat. I’m not sure whether Gary, our specialist geologist, will appreciate being featured amongst the entertainers but that is exactly what he is. Join the geology walk and share Gary’s fascination with how our special landscape was, and continues to be, created. Finally, can we remind everyone that the last Food & Wine Festival was sold out, with many disappointed that they were unable to score an entry at the gate. This, our 20th anniversary Walking Weekend, has secured the return of a favourite group of entertainers – The Mermaids Dance Band, who bring with them a strong and loyal following. So if you enjoy food, wine or other beverages, great music and dancing with your friends, don’t miss out. If you are not sure whether a particular walk will be suitable for you, please contact Dorothy (09) 431 5950 who will be more than happy to help you out.
