Just Clarifying.....

 

 Last issue of The Focus (June 11) we ran a short news piece on page 15 about a fatal collision between two cars. 
While the official details of the crash are still under investigation by the Serious Crash Unit, we can clarify that a northbound car collided with a southbound car driven by Ms Jocelyn Tolley (62) of Kaiwaka. Ms Tolley died at the scene as a result of her injuries. 
We extend our condolences to Jocelyn’s extended family and friends.


Regarding the letter to the editor entitled ‘Questions need answering’ (Mangawhai Focus, June 11) and purported to be written by a G J Ware of Kaiwaka. The Mangawhai Club management wish to advise there is no G J Ware on the current membership list nor has there been in the past five years. Monetary transactions such as those mentioned were entered into prior to the election of the current Board, though through consultation between the then Executive and the members and in accordance with Chartered Club rules and regulations. While there has been some remedial work required on the third green this is currently being dealt with and the Executive welcome any direct questions or discussion pertaining to this matter.
