Classics at the Cove returnsOnce again hosts Debi and Dave Brown welcome all to Classics at the Cove, an afternoon of sunshine and song on their beautiful Waipu property overlooking Bream Bay. They welcome tenor, Ridge Ponini back to join friends and members of Opera North for a picnic afternoon of song and music. Soprano, Maia Mila Amosa (nee Vega) has joined forces with bass, Joel Amosa who will add to the wonderful array of singers on the day. The audience will be welcomed with the sound of violin and cello played by students of Atsuko Fukuoka. Waipu songbird Emma Couper and singing teachers Maura and Peter Flower from Maungaturoto are showcasing some of their top young students, including the Waipu Windchimes and marvelous Sam Birchall from Ruakaka. Whangarei product and 2015 Lexus Song Quest Scholarship winner Kawiti Waetford is running a master class for some of the performers over the weekend. This is bound to be a wonderful afternoon not to be missed. All profits go towards furthering the musical journey of our performers through study scholarships.
