Citizens Awards make a comeback

Kaipara District Council has decided to bring back the area’s Citizens Awards to once again recognise the excellent work so many people do in the Kaipara community.

The Council-awarded Citizens Awards previously ran annually from 2001 – 2012, recognising the contributions and achievements of outstanding Kaipara citizens.

The award seeks nominations of individuals who reside in the Kaipara district and have shown leadership, inspiration, or dedication to a cause, contributing to the Kaipara community.

Nomination forms for the 2017 awards are available from Council's website, customer service centres, and libraries.

Previous recipients have included Janet Froggatt, Chris Biddles and Neil Clements.

Nominations close July 31. A presentation event will be held in October 2017.
