Officially open in January this year, Moda Interiors NZ’s Marsden Point showroom is a display of the company’s passion and talent for custom home designs, a showcase of stylish, contemporary products which they also manufacture and install.

Co-owned since 2015 by sales and marketing director Rebecca Cook and managing director and ‘coffee-maker’ husband Amos, along with another business couple, Moda’s new showroom is the third for the company, with two others located on the North Shore and West Auckland.

Formed after the Cook’s and their three young children moved north to be closer to family, Rebecca – an experienced hand in renovations including a new build of the family’s Langs Beach home – now works from the Marsden Point showroom while juggling study for a Diploma in Kitchen Design. She says the Northland Moda team are focused on serving their new community.

“We are very much locals up here, we love adventures such as travelling, camping and fishing and we wanted to allow our kids to grow up in a similar way I did with school holidays on a farm near Kai Iwi Lakes,” she says. “I also love baking with the kids in the kitchen which gives me an awareness of designing functional kitchens for busy families.”

The team also plan on getting involved in and supporting Northland schools after ‘thoroughly enjoying’ taking part in the ‘Garden to Table’ project at Henderson North School a few years ago.

“We had the privilege of helping to provide the children with a new kitchen,” Rebecca says. “The project is dear to my heart as I'm an ex-teacher before I had kids, and am definitely keen to help a local school with making their programme get up and running.”

Starting in 2001 as Moda Kitchens, the company has evolved over time and now offers custom cabinetry for kitchens, laundries, vanities and wardrobes, ‘made right here in our own backyard’ and can also design and create additional spaces such as sculleries, mud rooms and private spaces, which the team has seen an increased demand for since lockdowns.

elements that inspire. We’ll then talk about colours and accessories as well as discuss a few different pricing options. We offer competitive prices for superior quality and professional installations with a 10 year guarantee, and fantastic customer service,” she says. “As Moda’s product is all our own work, customers can also rest assured that their hard-earned money is going toward supporting local Kiwi businesses.”

n Book your free 60-minute consultation, give Moda a call today on 0800 466 632 or visit the new showroom at 16 Marsden Bay Drive, Marsden Point, Northland, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm with Saturday by appointment.
