Dont be disappointed, book your walk now!Organisers of the 19th Mangawhai Walking Weekend have introduced many new features to this years event, and are delighted with the response since bookings opened in January. Particularly pleasing has been the number of new walkers planning to join for the first time. Unlike previous years the weekend kicks off on Thursday, March 15 with a strenuous 8-hour walk designed for dedicated enthusiasts. Friday March 16 sees the return of the ever-popular Troubadour Trail, an opportunity to enjoy music and magic as you pause while strolling along the Mangawhai Harbour edge. This has become a favourite all-ages all-abilities event. Saturday brings a full day of events from bush to beach and surf, including several events new for 2018. All guides have promised to bring participants safely back to Mangawhai in good time to enjoy the fabulous Food & Wine Festival. A further 10 events are available on Sunday morning, and walkers, if they wish, can join the sumptuous breakfast at the Domain. Comprehensive information on all walks and how to book can be found online at mangawhaiwalking.co.nz or purchase tickets for just $10 at Bammas or Mangawhai Books & Gifts. There’s a walk for all abilities and interests. There are even activities for non-walkers. Many walks will sell out, and are limited for safety reasons. No bookings on the day. |
