Mangawhai Central should help
Re the article in the Focus January 17 regarding the state of the fields at the Mangawhai Domain (Domain on rocky ground...).

My take on this is that Mangawhai Central, while appearing to support the Domain's efforts for improvements by donating their unwanted soil, have actually taken the opportunity to offload dubious material at minimal expense to themselves.

As the cause of the problem I think they should bear some responsibility for cleaning up this mess.

Wouldn't it be great if Mangawhai Central donated some of their labour force to the clean up? Surely they can spare a few dozen or so men for a few hours instead of the Domain Society having to rely on volunteers – usually the elderly or the time poor?

It would be a wonderful gesture in recognition of the part Central played in creating this problem in the first place.
