Speakers take audience around the world

 

There was a great turn out for the November meeting of the Mangawhai Combined Rebus Club with an audience of 44 enjoying talks from two locals. 

Steve Green (pictured),  well known for his computer skills so generously given to the community for free, spoke of something entirely different, entertaining with a quiz and chocolates prizes. Since his retirement Steve says he chooses a single subject each year and studies that subject in depth.

One such subject for him was the cosmos. Steve used a presentation where the history of the cosmos reduced to one earth year. Contact Steve for a copy of the Powerpoint presentation full of mind-blowing information.

Marie Fitt recounted a wonderful trip with husband Steve visiting their family in Europe. Marie and Steve’s daughter is married to a Frenchman so The Fitts had excellent tour guides. Marie’s photographs were excellent and shown to good effect on the available big screen.
