Rotary reaches target

Maungaturoto and Districts Rotary Club raised over $5000 from their Grand Auction, held at Maungaturoto Primary School on March 19. This was in response to the club’s $5000 pledge to urgent appeals from Rotary International for funds to support Fiji following the devastation from Cyclone Winston.

Rotary has clubs and membership throughout the Islands and first hand knowledge means aid can be delivered promptly. Every dollar donated will end up in Fiji as Rotary has no administration costs.

Appeal funds will be used for the payment of emergency response kits, family food packs and also get schools up and running again.

Rotary would like to thank all those that supported the auction and those that gave their time.
