Mangawhai Artists Gallery: December

December is a busy month for local artists with two group exhibitions: ‘Brushstrokes’ and the Mangawhai Artists Christmas Show.

Ÿ Brushstrokes: Opened Nov 23. The Originals Art Group provides a diverse range of art – landscapes, seascapes, abstracts, portraits and some very unusual and interesting work. Brushstrokes shows work by eleven members of The Originals, artists with a range of experience at drawing and painting.

See work on show by Janine Brougham, Jan Clark, Ailsa Dennis, Jean Fountain, Linda Foster, Linda Hobbs, Ann Howard, Gailene Marsden, Gordon McGibbon, Tracey Scott and Anne Shaw.

Experimental and a little quirky, the exhibition will be a treat for all who see it.

Ÿ Christmas Show cash & carry: Opens Friday Dec 8 until Dec 27. Support local artists and solve your Christmas gift buying dilemmas with works by members of Mangawhai Artists Inc. Running up to Christmas Eve, visitors can pay cash and carry their chosen art work away. Opening again on Boxing Day and Dec 27 there will be an opportunity to spend Christmas gift money.

A vast range of images, paintings, prints, collages and abstracts and dramatic and fun 3D works will be available to choose from. New work will replace sold works up to Christmas Eve. Nothing priced over $150.
