Ball raises funds for Zonta projects

The annual Zonta Ball, held on Saturday June 25, was another “not to be missed” event. But for those of you who did miss it, put a diary-hold on the last weekend in June for 2022.

The Hakaru Hall was transformed into a 1920s speakeasy, filled with 160 guys, gals, gangsters and molls dancing to the beat of the Renegades who kept the pace fast and furious.

A fabulous meal was supplied by A to Z Catering, the bar was run by Maungaturoto Lions, and sponsors were generous.

The auction was fiercely contested and whipped to a frenzy by auctioneer Wayne Maguire, eventually raising funds to be entirely used in services to the local, national and international projects that Zonta supports.
