Long gone are the days when breaking down a side of beef or boning out a side of bacon constituted a butcher, who would wrap an order lovingly in brown paper and hand it over the counter, often including an extra sausage for a special customer.

 

For some, weekly market days are a serious event. This is the day they do their weekly fruit and vege shopping, seeking out the freshest victuals that will keep them fit and healthy for many more markets to come.

 

Residents of a locally owned campground are now facing an uncertain future as the company who was responsible for the management of their park has filed for liquidation.


 

The last few weeks might have been chilly and wet but for many people in Mangawhai it has been a productive, creative and energising time.

Tara Iti Golf Club is thrilled to announce another accolade – GEO Certified status. The certification is administered and assured by the Golf Environment Organisation (GEO), a not-forprofit group dedicated to sustainability in the golf industry.
 

 

Art ‘n Tartan Supreme Award winning designer Carole Hebberd with her Me and My Shadow creation at the event’s awards evening held a few weeks ago. The design was also first equal in the Scottish Surreal category, and first in People’s Choice.
