Top team undefeated

 

Otamatea High School’s team 4 has won the local junior A Grade netball competition, going through the season undefeated.

A relatively easy run through to the finals saw them tested by main rivals Wellsford 1. Otamatea hung on to win by 2 goals in their last game of the season.

Defender Emma Huband and shooter Maggie Hames were season standouts.

“The team performed so well because of the one hundred percent attendance to training and their improvement each week,” said coach Jodie Bennetto. “I'm extremely proud on how far they have come.”

The team is in Tauranga for the AIMS games this week.
