Worzels's World - Conspiracy of a kind

 

When I was in my early 20s I was given a book to read, ‘The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion’, first published around 1903. It outlined the mother of all conspiracies. The intelligentsia of the day debunked it saying it was an elaborate hoax. I took it with a large pinch of salt.

I recently ran into the old mate that gave me the book at an event where I mostly run into old mates these days – a funeral. Over coffee and club sandwiches we both agreed that the plans outlined in the book had been so unerringly implemented that if it were a hoax it must surely be the most accurate one ever.

There always has been ‘conspiracy theories’ and there always will be. The Bible’s full of ‘em. Is there really a fallen angel known as Satan who conspires to corrupt the world and possess men’s souls? Or is this merely an unjustified conspiracy theory?

Noah was a conspiracy theorist too. At least he was until the rain came down. By then the doors of the ark were closed.

Germany’s National Socialist (Nazi) death camps were the stuff of unbelievable conspiracy. The German people themselves didn’t believe it possible. After all, why would such a pragmatic people kill off a willing and obedient work force? That changed when US infantry liberated the Dachau concentration camp. They forced locals to troop through and witness what had been going on in their own back yard. It was too late for the dead and for the living. Sometimes 2020 hindsight doesn’t cut it. Has the world and its people improved since then? Are we now so enlightened, moral and kind that we are no longer capable of such things?

None of the following is theory it is all based on fact. I’ll let you answer the questions, join the dots and form your own theories, conspiracy or otherwise.

Under cover of a national lockdown, NZ passed the most liberal abortion laws in the world allowing full-term abortion. The Prime Minister then tells us to ‘be kind’. Somehow I’ve never quite been able to equate destroying human life and removing peoples freedom with kindness.

With rhetoric like ‘We’re all in this together’ and ’The team of five million’ I wonder why would a ‘team’ who is ‘together’ need military deployed to patrol the perimeter of concentration camp Auckland? Please tell me where is the war? Who is the enemy? Will we be sending a battalion of doctors and nurses to Afghanistan to engage the Taliban?

The measures imposed here and around the world have severely impacted many sectors of the economy and worsened an inevitable recession.

The Covid-19 Emergency Health Act has given the prime minister greater powers than Adolf Hitler had as Germany’s chancellor. It was passed under urgency effectively circumventing due democratic process. The only ‘legal opinion’ sought regards the obvious conflict of this new law with the NZ Bill of Rights Act was provided by Government minister Andrew Little. Does anyone else suspect there may be a conflict of interest here?

Currently we are up to the $70 billion mark on funny money from the sale of Government bonds – that’s you, me and your children, bondsmen all. Contrary to the Nuremberg Code the Government have mandated compulsory medical testing. Yes, copying those Nazi’s again. At the moment it is the PCR test. Will it later be the Gates vaccine?

All of this has been done on the pretext of a health emergency concerning a sickness that has been proved beyond doubt to be less virulent than seasonal influenza, on a testing procedure that is not specific to any particular Corona virus. There are many Corona viruses. A PCR test will test positive for many of them.

The internet, especially Facebook and YouTube is being heavily censored to remove content contrary to an officially approved narrative. If those contrary views are only imaginary conspiracy theories why bother? The Prime Minister insists that ‘Government is the sole source of truth’, but they have been proved false on several occasions.

Sounds more like a totalitarian regime than a sovereign democratic nation to me. How do we test this? In a democracy all are equal before the law. As a result of a privately actioned judicial review the court determined that the initial lockdown was illegal – as I maintained at the time. Are the police investigating who is responsible for this breach of law that caused such harm? Will there be arrests made, charges brought and penalties imposed? Or will the criminals responsible have the hubris to stand again for public office and continue with their agenda of state control? I will wait and watch with interest.
