De-sexing campaign ends October 31

Cat owners in Wellsford, Warkworth and surrounding areas are being urged to take part in a month-long campaign to de-sex cats.

Kitten season is kicking off and to get ahead of the normal rush of unwanted kittens, Julie's Animal Refuge in conjunction with the Marjorie Gray Animal Protection Trust are offering cat owners de-sexing for just $20.

“Please help prevent dumped kittens and 'free to good home' kittens which keeps the cycle going,” says Trustee Lynda Maddock.

This offer does not apply to pet shops, breeders or other cat rescue organisations.

Contact Julie's Animal Refuge on (09) 422 3322 during business hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm to make a booking.
The campaign runs from September 23 until the end of October.
