Christian Camp inspires Kaiwaka kidsKaiwaka Primary School children departing from their camp at Moirs Point Christian Centre gave spontaneous speeches of thanks – a reflection of the positive experince they had. Anne-Marie Wilkinson made a speech saying it was the best camp she had been on in 22 years of teaching. King tides and sunny weather enabled the children to make the most of the water activities including kayaking (pictured) and tobogganing. Instruction was given by Blue Light co-ordinator Shane Gould in the safe, shallow estuary that borders the camp. The flying fox, waterslide, air rifles, archery and ‘Digger’ the pet eel were also popular with the students. Kristal Gould celebrated 10 years as camp director the week Kaiwaka School was there. |
